Manuel was called to the bar in Sri Lanka in 1975 and enrolled as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 1980.

Prior to coming to Canada, he was a Senior State Counsel, Legal Advisor and Chief Lands Officer of the Ministry of National Development in the island country of Seychelles from 1982-86. 

Once settled in Canada, Manuel worked as an Immigration Consultant before being called to the Ontario Bar in 1994. He has since practiced law in the Greater Toronto Area with a focus on  Real Estate, Business and Immigration Law.

Over the years, Manuel has acted on behalf of clients in thousands of real estate and business transactions. In addition, he has represented clients at the Immigration and Refugee Board, the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Ontario and the Feberal Court of Canada.
